A fund raiser was held in downtown Greer at the Davenport for the
Triune Mercy Center and The Greer Soup Kitchen. It was an evening to remember. The flair was a 1920's setting with costumes,
hors d'oeuvres, champagne, silent and live auction and music by
Jabberwocky. Party goers were interviewed on the Red Carpet while paparazzi (which was me and other photographers) was snapping away. It was a really good time. I got to meet so many interesting people from Greer.
I couldn't wait to see the movie, so the next day I went with some friends. I thought it was very good. I kept catching myself trying to identify some of the local areas in the movie. I even saw some of the Greer cast who had been at the party the night before.
Greer has
definitely hit the "Big Time". There are some great shops and
restaurants in downtown G
reer.
